Founded by Nick Nafpliotis, Pennant is dedicated to helping the entire group build success and personal achievement through hard work and technology integration. Nick is a founding principal, Chief Technology Officer, and on the Board of Directors for Smart Process Works. He is also the founding principal and VP of technology at PeakImage. Nick has enjoyed a successful 18 year career in Internet related technologies, and leads Pennant's current small business initiative Kyani Nick began his career working on Internet Infrastructure and Networking in the U.S. and across Canada as a Vice President at both Harris Bank and the Bank of Montreal. He went on to form his own internet hosting company, Pennant, that managed the internet infrastructure for Fortune 1000 companies. After building Pennant into a multimillion dollar company serving as Founder and President, he sold Pennant to WhittmanHart and assumed the role of Vice President of Managed Hosting. After doubling the hosting revenue at WhittmanHart, he left in 2006 to join ITV Ventures as Chief Information Officer. While at ITV Ventures, Nick expanded their backend which included forming a remote call center application to support over 10,000 independent affiliates. In addition, reviving Pennant to build out small business initiatives, Nick was able to grow an organization of over 1000 people within 120 days using the Internet and forward thinking technology. Nick obtained both his M.S. and B.S. in Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana/Champaign. While completing the coursework for his M.S. in Engineering, he co-published “A Niched Pareto Genetic Algorithm for Multiobjective Optimization” at the International Conference on Evolutionary Computation. He is an avid Saltwater Aquarist, a current Member of American Mensa, and is fluent in two languages while studying a third. |
